Mnoho lid\u00ed se o REM sp\u00e1nku dozv\u00ed jen okrajov\u011b, a tak si pln\u011b neuv\u011bdomuj\u00ed jeho v\u00fdznam a d\u016fsledky jeho nedostatku.  Tento \u010dl\u00e1nek se proto zam\u011b\u0159\u00ed na podrobn\u00e9 vysv\u011btlen\u00ed REM sp\u00e1nku a jeho d\u016fle\u017eitosti pro na\u0161e fyzick\u00e9 i psychick\u00e9 zdrav\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Co je REM sp\u00e1nek?<\/p>\n<p>REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sp\u00e1nek, \u010desky sp\u00e1nek s rychl\u00fdmi pohyby o\u010d\u00ed, je charakteristick\u00fd rychl\u00fdmi pohyby o\u010dn\u00edch bulv pod v\u00ed\u010dky a zv\u00fd\u0161enou mozkovou aktivitou, kter\u00e1 se podob\u00e1 aktivit\u011b p\u0159i bd\u011bl\u00e9m stavu.  Na rozd\u00edl od hlubok\u00e9ho sp\u00e1nku (NREM), je REM sp\u00e1nek spojen s \u017eiv\u00fdmi sny a emo\u010dn\u011b nabit\u00fdmi z\u00e1\u017eitky. B\u011bhem REM sp\u00e1nku se na\u0161e t\u011blo prakticky ochrom\u00ed, abychom nemohli fyzicky realizovat d\u011bje ze sn\u016f.  Tato paral\u00fdza je norm\u00e1ln\u00ed a nezbytn\u00e1.  D\u00e9lka REM sp\u00e1nku se b\u011bhem noci m\u011bn\u00ed, s nejdel\u0161\u00edmi f\u00e1zemi REM sp\u00e1nku se setk\u00e1v\u00e1me v druh\u00e9 polovin\u011b noci.<\/p>\n<p>D\u016fle\u017eitost REM sp\u00e1nku pro pam\u011b\u0165 a u\u010den\u00ed<\/p>\n<p>REM sp\u00e1nek je z\u00e1sadn\u00ed pro konsolidaci pam\u011bti a u\u010den\u00ed. B\u011bhem t\u00e9to f\u00e1ze sp\u00e1nku mozek zpracov\u00e1v\u00e1 informace nashrom\u00e1\u017ed\u011bn\u00e9 b\u011bhem dne, ut\u0159i\u010fuje je a ukl\u00e1d\u00e1 do dlouhodob\u00e9 pam\u011bti. B\u011bhem REM sp\u00e1nku mozek zpracov\u00e1v\u00e1 a zpracuje emo\u010dn\u011b nabit\u00e9 z\u00e1\u017eitky z p\u0159edchoz\u00edho dne. Jeho d\u016fle\u017eitost spo\u010d\u00edv\u00e1 v konsolidaci pam\u011bti, regulaci emoc\u00ed a celkov\u00e9 psychick\u00e9 pohod\u011b.  Dostate\u010dn\u00fd a kvalitn\u00ed REM sp\u00e1nek je z\u00e1kladem pro zdrav\u00fd a produktivn\u00ed \u017eivot.
