Pod vlivem Hnut\u00ed \u010dtvrt\u00e9ho kv\u011btna a Hnut\u00ed nov\u00e9 kultury intelektu\u00e1lov\u00e9 volali po odm\u00edtnut\u00ed star\u00fdch konfuci\u00e1nsk\u00fdch tradic ve prosp\u011bch &#8222;pana V\u011bdy&#8220; a &#8222;pana Demokracie&#8220;. \u00dast\u0159edn\u00edm bodem t\u00e9to v\u00fdzvy bylo osvobozen\u00ed \u017een, v\u010detn\u011b p\u0159\u00edstupu ke vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00ed, ukon\u010den\u00ed sjednan\u00fdch man\u017eelstv\u00ed a svobody \u00fa\u010dasti na ve\u0159ejn\u00e9m \u017eivot\u011b. Pr\u00e1v\u011b v t\u00e9to horliv\u00e9 atmosf\u00e9\u0159e se za\u010dal objevovat nov\u00fd styl obl\u00e9k\u00e1n\u00ed. Mlad\u00e9, vzd\u011blan\u00e9 \u017eeny, zejm\u00e9na studentky, za\u010daly p\u0159ij\u00edmat upravenou verzi \u010dchang-pchao, narovn\u00e1valy jeho siluetu a zjednodu\u0161ovaly jeho design. Bylo to prohl\u00e1\u0161en\u00ed, \u017ee jejich t\u011bla pat\u0159\u00ed jim samotn\u00fdm, nikoli p\u0159edm\u011bt\u016fm, kter\u00e9 je t\u0159eba skr\u00fdvat v hanb\u011b. Dnes za\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 \u010dchi-pchao renesanci jak v \u010c\u00edn\u011b, tak glob\u00e1ln\u011b. Je to p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh o osvobozen\u00ed, o sebeur\u010den\u00ed, o politick\u00e9m vyj\u00e1d\u0159en\u00ed a o vyjedn\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed mezi tradic\u00ed a modernitou.
