How to Iron Silk Blouse
Step 1: Hand Washing Silk Blouse
Hand wash silk blouse in lukewarm water. Add a few drops of mild detergent to the water. Gently rub it to release stains. Soak silk blouse in the water for three to five minutes. Rinse the garment with fresh lukewarm water until the bubbles disappear. Wrap silk blouse in a thick towel to absorb the rest of the water.
Step 2: Preparing Iron
Clean the plate with a paste of one tbsp. Plug in your iron. Note: if your iron doesn’t have a delicate/silk setting, you should heat it up on the silk setting or the lowest setting. Place a large, clean cotton sheet across ironing board.
Step 3: Ironing Silk Blouse
Turn the silk blouse inside out. Smooth out the silk fabric so there are no wrinkles. Press the iron plate to the surface of the cloth, and move the iron around the fabric. Hang the silk blouse on a hanger and allow it to dry for a few minutes before wearing or storing it.
