Where Did Silk Come From
Where did silk originate?
Silk comes from a caterpillar. Silk is a material spun by the silkworm! Silk farmers raise silkworms for their silk. Silkworms are fed with mulberry leaves regularly once they hatch out of its eggs. Then they spin cocoons. Each silkworm creates a cocoon from one long thread of silk. Heat the cocoons to harvest silk.
