Which Insect Makes Silk

Silk is mainly produced by the larvae of insects that complete metamorphosis, but other adult insects such as webspinners also produce silk. Besides, Hymenoptera (bees, wasps, and ants) produces silk which can be used in their nest construction. What’s more, other types of arthropod like spiders can also produce silk.
